Scholarships, prizes and awards
La Trobe provides a number of scholarships to assist students with their studies in times of financial need. There are also many awards and prizes that provide recognition of academic achievement.
Scholarships
David Ashton Honours Prize
This scholarship will be awarded to the top-ranked student entering Honours in ecology with the Department of Botany.
Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Ten scholarships are available each year for eligible students commencing in undergraduate courses offered by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Prizes and awards
AB Wardrop Book Prize
Awarded to the most outstanding student in third year Botany.
AB Wardrop Honours Prize
Awarded to the most outstanding student in Botany Honours.
Dean's Honour List
The Dean's Honours is awarded for recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Second year Botany Book Prize
Awarded to the most outstanding student in second year Botany.
Honours year grants
Grants up to $2000 are available for students who need financial support and who have shown strong academic achievement in their undergraduate degree.
