Research in the Department of Botany
Research in the Botany Department is conducted in two main areas –
- Environmental Science and Management
- Molecular and Physiological Cell Biology
The Department’s well equipped laboratories, glasshouses and growth facilities provide a comprehensive environment for our research groups, comprised of postdoctorates and postgraduate students led by academic staff who are internationally recognized in their fields.
Some of our research programs are independent while others are conducted jointly with other organizations such as the Department of Primary Industry, GRDC, and Parks Victoria.
The Department also has international links through Australian Government funded research projects in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
