Timetable and Room BookingsRoom bookingsGeneral teaching roomsAt the Albury-Wodonga campus of La Trobe University there are a number of rooms available that may be booked for teaching or other purposes. These rooms are referred to in the 'Central Teaching Space - Policies, Procedures and Responsibility guidelines' as general teaching spaces and must be incorporated into the central timetabling system. These rooms can be booked by completing and submitting a 'Room Booking Request' to the Facilities Officer (Timetable and Room bookings). To amend or add new classes to the central timetable, refer to 'Timetable Information'. Specialist roomsThere are also other rooms available that are referred to as Specialist spaces. These rooms are reserved for use by a School/Dept or Area. Some of these specialist spaces can be booked by other Schools/Depts but must be booked through the School/Dept or Area that controls them. Ad-hoc room bookingsAd-hoc bookings are, by nature, designed for unscheduled events such as extra tutorials or special activities within the campus, such as Orientation week acitivities, staff meetings, International student support services activities etc. Rooms may only be booked on an ad hoc basis after the University Timetable has been finalised, or outside semester times, and are not to be for durations of more than five weeks over one semester. Ad-hoc bookings will not appear on the web timetable. Ad-hoc room bookings may be made using the 'Room Booking Request' form. Room hireSome rooms on this campus are available for hire by internal staff members or by external clients. Charges may be hourly, per half day, or per full day. Refer to 'Facilities hire'. Room cancellationRooms can be cancelled by completing a 'Room Booking cancellation' form. Room booking guidelinesStaff members should familiarise themselves with the 'General Room Bookings Information Sheet' and the 'Central Teaching Space - Policies, Procedures and Responsibility guidelines' before booking or using a room on the Albury-Wodonga campus. Teaching staff should familiarise themselves with the 'Academic Staff Information Sheet'. This sets out the obligations of staff when using teaching rooms, and contains information on evacuation procedures, reporting equipment faults, moving furniture around etc. Faults/problemsAll faults and problems with rooms should be emailed to the AV Support Officer, or by phone on Ext: 9625. Audio-visual faults and room maintenance will then be reported to the appropriate areas for attention. Audio-visual bookingsTo make ad hoc bookings for Audio-visual equipment email the AV Support Officer , or phone on Ext: 9625. VideoconferencesGenerally videoconferences involve multiple campuses and require multi-campus videoconferencing facilities. This means that when they are booked for teaching purposes, they will have a higher priority when the timetable is scheduled, than those activities with standard campus requirements. For further information about videoconferencing and making a booking, refer to 'Videoconferencing'.
