McGrath Foundation Scholarship ($10,000)
The McGrath Foundation Scholarship will provide financial support for
two students to complete either the postgraduate certificate or the
postgraduate diploma in Breast Care Nursing at La Trobe University.
Both the postgraduate certificate and diploma form part of the Master
of Nursing (Breast Care). These studies are recognised both nationally
and internationally and provide an educational platform for the Breast
Care Nurse to speak with authority.
Selection Criteria
Choice of applicant will be based on the following criteria:
- Applicant from remote and rural areas will be given priority
- Applicant is not receiving any other source of funding
- Knowledge and appreciation of McGrath Foundation values and objectives
Documentation
- A written outline on what your studies will bring to the practice as a Breast Care Nurse (the written paper should be no more than 500 words [3-4 points] outlining why you should be supported by
the McGrath Foundation to undertake further studies in Breast Care Nursing) - A Letter of support from your employee
- Current CV
- Completed the application form (PDF file - 90KB)

Process
Successful
applicants will be chosen by the La Trobe University Stream
Coordinator: Postgraduate Cancer Courses and the subject coordinator at
The Cancer Council Victoria. A summary of short listed applicants will
be sent to McGrath Foundation for further review and recommendation.
The scholarship will be provided in advance to successful applicants.
