Bachelor of Human Nutrition

Department of Biochemistry

This three year course explores the science which underlies our understanding of human nutrition. The course aims to give students a good grounding in a range of biological sciences and then goes on to study particular aspects of nutrition at a more advanced level. The course covers food biology and biochemistry, human physiology and behavioural aspects of our relationship with the food we eat. It is a science course based around topics relevant to nutrition but does not provide the clinical training required for registration as a dietician.
