We are located in room 371, Physical Sciences building 4.
Our phone number is 9479 2197.

What we do

  • Access to network drives – your own space, shared space specific to your lab, and shared space for the department.
  • Copies of Endnote and Sophos
  • Software generally – purchase of, use of, that kind of thing.
  • Hardware issues
  • Printers – connection to, working status, and all consumables like toner and ink cartridges
  • CD’s and DVD’s for backing up your data
  • Connecting laptops to the university network, including wireless
  • Access to the confocal and other resource booking systems

What we don't do

Pretty much anything to do with email – we can’t raise the size limit on your mailbox , get or change your password. These are all handled by ICT. To address any space issues you may have, we recommend taking part in the email archiving project now available within the university. What you can do is reset your password if you know the old one. Follow the instructions from the previous link to do so.

Alternatively, you may want to set it up so that you are always able to reset your password, known or not. To do this, go to the Password Reset page set up by ICT, and follow through the instructions there for registration. You need only register once, which involves setting up a few personalised questions and answers to verify your identity.
