Imaging Facilities - Leica Confocal System (TCS-SP2)

Confocal mic

The Leica Confocal System (TCS-SP2) allows optical sectioning of living, functioning, tissues and cells.  It can also collect reflection images of solid materials and perform spectral comparisons of two different probles or regions. This miscroscope system is located in the R. L. Reid Building, Level 1, Bundoora Campus. The microscope can be booked in 2 hour time blocks with charges according to the category of use. An discounted subscription can be organised for frequent users.

We also hold periodic courses to introduce new users to the potential uses of the confocal microscope.  Contact Tim Brown for details.

All users are required to read through the following information carefully before booking the microscope. Proper training is required for all users before independent operation is allowed.
