The second stage development of the Dental Pre-clinical laboratories has commenced at the Bendigo campus.
The main purpose of this project is to cater for the new dentistry course that commenced at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Bendigo this year. The new dentistry course will have an intake of 50 students each year.
The current facility at Bendigo caters for the oral health students and with the new dental student intake we need two more laboratories. There will be a new dental simulation laboratory and general purpose laboratory. |
Funding
Stage one – $1 million (completed)

Work Details
The work involves extension of the existing facility in the Health Sciences building to provide a total of 60 dental simulators and associated equipment.
Two new laboratories will be constructed, a new simulation lab and a general purpose laboratory. The general purpose laboratory will also have two plasterwork rooms and radiography unit. The current prep room will be expanded and will be able to be serviced from each of the three laboratories.
