Car parking permits at the Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus

General information

Student general parking permits

New students will receive information in their enrolment notice and will be processed through the enrolment centre.

Returning students can pay for and collect general permits from the Traffic and Parking office, Ground floor, Peribolos East.

Payment options for students are:

  1. in person at the Traffic and Parking office using EFTPOS, credit card or cheque.
  2. cash - payments can be made at the Cashier's Office (located on Level 2, David Myers Building). On payment the cashier will issue a receipt. Present the receipt to the Traffic and Parking office and a parking permit will be issued. Please note that the Cashier's Office will only accept cash for a general parking permit.
Staff general parking permits

Applications for general permits can be sent by internal mail to the Traffic and Parking office, Ground floor, Peribolos East. Permits will be posted to the internal address as specified on the application.

Staff have five payment options:

  1. salary sacrifice (pre-tax deduction) in a single payment from the last pay period in April.
  2. salary sacrifice (pre-tax deduction) in two equal amounts from the last pay periods in March and April.
  3. deduction (after tax deduction) in two equal amounts from the last pay periods in March and April.
  4. in person at the Traffic and Parking office using EFTPOS, credit card or cheque.
  5. cash - payments can be made at the Cashier's Office (located on Level 2, David Myers Building). On payment the cashier will issue a receipt. Present the receipt to the Traffic and Parking office and a parking permit will be issued. Please note that the Cashier's Office will only accept cash for a general parking permit.
Reserved parking permits

A limited number of reserved parking spaces in car parks 1, 2 and 8 will be available to staff and students.

If demand significantly exceeds supply, preference will be given to existing holders of reserved permits. A ballot will be conducted to allocate any in addition to existing permits.

Inner campus parking permit

All inner campus car parking spaces require either an inner campus parking permit or a time and date specific permit issued from the Gatehouse (Central Control).

Inner campus parking permits are available to senior members of staff.

The University Guild and Parking Fees

By becoming a member of the Guild, staff and students will be entitled to a significant range of discounted services including car parking fees. For more information on the full range of discounts available see the web site: www.latrobe.edu.au/guild

Students and staff who wish to take advantage of the 2009 parking discount need to be Guild Members. For students and casual staff the Guild Membership fee should be paid at the same time as paying the car Parking fee. For permanent and fixed term staff, payment should be made before the parking fee is deducted from their pay.
