Carpool service
Carpooling is encouraged and special car parking areas have been provided. Once a normal parking permit has been purchased and the driver and passenger(s) have registered with the Carpooling Service a special carpool permit can be collected free of charge from Buildings and Grounds, Ground Floor, Peribolos East.

Free campus bus
This bus service is operational Monday to Friday during the day to assist students in traversing the campus.

Points to remember
- The University's Parking Attendant and Security Officers are empowered to issue infringement notices to vehicles that fail to comply with the University's parking requirements. All infringement notices are administered and processed by Darebin City Council. The Infringement Court is used to process outstanding infringement notices.
- Display your permit prominently. Obscured permits may incur an infringement notice.
- The speed limit in all car parks is 20 kph.
- Never park outside a marked bay.
- Except for Reserved Parking the University gives no undertaking that a space will be available in any particular area. The responsibility of finding an authorised parking space rests with the driver.
- If you are unable to display your permit you will need to purchase a day permit from one of the vending machines. This will give you time to make alternative arrangements and also prevent an infringement being served on your vehicle.
- The car parks closest to the academic areas are the first to fill. If you wish to park in one of these, please make sure you arrive early.
- La Trobe University provides a free Campus Bus Service. The Campus Bus runs on a set route and timetable between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
- The University also provides a Free After Dark Escort service if you are concerned for your personal safety after dark, you may call for a security escort to traverse the campus, including to and from the car parks.
