Campus Nurse - Well Women's Clinic

What are the Well Women's Clinics?
Well Women's Clinics offer a community outreach service to women on campus at the University, run in co-operation with Women's Health Loddon Mallee. Well Women's Clinics provide a range of services from Pap Smears, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) screening, Breast Self Examination Education, Contraceptive and Menopause Advice, as well as a range of other information specific to women's health needs.

It is important to note:

  • Clinic's are run by a Women's Health Nurse (WHN) - not a Doctor.
  • Well Women Clinic's are for well women - if you have any symptoms of illness, you should see your local Doctor.
  • Breast Self Examination (BSE) is taught, but not performed by the WHN nurse.
  • No blood tests will be performed by the WHN - you will be referred to the Campus Nurse or your local Doctor.
  • Appointments are 45 minutes in duration.
  • Clinic appointments are charged at:
$5 for Students / Health Care Card holders
$15 for Employed Women / Non - Health Care Card holders
