Whether it's sport, art, business or community, we have a connection to help with your study and career goals.
Bendigo Art Gallery
Grace Kelly, Ben Quilty, Sidney Nolan… they've all graced the Bendigo Art Gallery. Our students, staff and alumni are likewise VIPs. As the gallery's higher education partner, we have exclusive access to internships, mentoring, tours, talks and niche subjects.
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank
We share a common goal with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank to support a prosperous economic and social future. Ours is a game-changing partnership which awards annual scholarships to regional and rural students, fosters new research and a graduate program to fast-track student careers.
Bendigo Bank Academy of Sport
We helped establish the Bendigo Bank Academy of Sport in 1994. Our students complete work placements in sports management, events management and sports science, and students who have taken part in the program as athletes can apply for scholarships. The academy offices are located on campus which allows for great exchange of ideas.
Bendigo Business Council
We have strong, historic ties to Bendigo's business community. Many of our alumni have gone on to forge successful careers in local business. Our place on the council ensures we're part of the conversation about Bendigo's future.
Bendigo Inventor Awards
We're helping find the next big thing through sponsoring the City of Greater Bendigo's annual Inventor Awards. Each year the region's innovators pitch their ideas against an expert panel. The event encompasses our values of pursuing ideas and excellence.
We're right behind our Women's National Basketball League team, in spirit and in sponsorship. The partnership also means our students can intern with the team on a range of courses, from health science to marketing, sport management to human resources.
Bendigo Tertiary Education Partnership
We're helping boost higher education participation and address skills shortages in the region. We work with Bendigo TAFE and Bendigo Senior Secondary College to help Bendigo's school leavers achieve their career goals.
Bendigo Writers Festival
Our students and academics rub shoulders with the nation's storytellers each August. They feature as speakers and interviewers in Bendigo's beautiful heritage buildings. There are plenty of opportunities to be involved in the festival, as volunteers and through the Writers in Action subject.
Our annual sponsorship helps keep Bendigo's famous vintage trams alive and regularly rattling through the city centre. The La Trobe-branded tram gives us a vibrant local presence and lets tourists know they're visiting a university city.
The Career Horizons website links primary, secondary and tertiary students with local businesses and organisations to gain workplace experience. We support this online resource to help develop career opportunities for students and a skilled workforce for the region.
Castlemaine State Festival
One of the state's premier cultural festivals happens every second year, just half an hour from Bendigo. Here, our creative arts, business, event management and education students take part in mentoring, exhibitions, internships, research, practicums and a whole lot of fun.
Discovery Science and Technology Centre
Through supporting the Discovery Centre we're helping inspire curiosity in the city's young minds. The centre aligns with our goals to foster technology growth and research in regional Victoria.
RACV Energy Breakthrough
We've been part of this important event on the region's sporting calendar for 20 years. Our staff and students are there to help judge the competition, which sees central Victorian students gather in Maryborough for a 24-hour human powered vehicle relay. It promotes ingenuity, technology and renewable energy.
Tournament of Minds
The Tournament of Minds is one of the fastest-growing competitions for primary and secondary school students. While the state finals take place at our Bundoora Campus, Bendigo is proud to host the regional heats.
Visual Arts Centre
Our View Street gallery presents a rich program of contemporary art. It supports student and visiting artists, plus hosts a range of community events and lectures.
Young Professional Network
The network aims to develop the careers of young professionals in central Victoria – as do we! In supporting the network, we're also supporting many of our alumni who build successful careers in the local community.
