On campus

Students have access to a wide range of on-campus accommodation options with over 500 places available in Bendigo.

Each residence has a social club and live-in staff that provide residential care and encourage students' academic and personal development.

Off campus

La Trobe students can also access the Off-Campus Accommodation database, which is a free service which lists offers of accommodation for private rental and share house vacancies. La Trobe University is not affiliated with providers who list on the database and accepts no responsibility for the accuracy or suitability of any accommodation offers.

Art

The Phyllis Palmer Gallery is a space dedicated to showing new work by graduates, current students and associates of the La Trobe University Creative Arts Department, as well as those that have had connections with La Trobe University.

The La Trobe Art Institute (LAI) gallery is located at 121 View Street, Bendigo, and is open to students and the general public. Regular exhibitions of contemporary and historic art are curated by LAI curators, artists-in-residence and other practising artists.

The FM Courtis Collection was commenced by Fred Courtis, then Head of Art Education at the Bendigo Teachers' College, in 1958. An important resource for Bendigo, it provides the opportunity for students to have close and continued contact with quality art works, thus creating an enriched environment for their learning as teachers and for their broader personal development.
