Research

Schools and Departments from both of La Trobe's Colleges are represented at the Albury-Wodonga campus. The campus is home to significant research expertise in areas such as freshwater ecology, resource management, and issues around ageing in regional communities.

Research facilities

The Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre (MDFRC) is housed on the Albury-Wodonga campus. As a joint venture partner in MDFRC, La Trobe University has an enhanced capacity to increase research in freshwater ecology for the benefit of the whole Murray-Darling Basin.

With the recent appointment of Professor Jeni Warburton as Chair of the campus-based John Richards Initiative (JRI), researching aged care in rural communities, the JRI team is in place and set to make a significant contribution to future developments in rural and regional aged care.

Information on other research undertaken across the University can be accessed via the research site.
