What are the costs involved?
The following table shows the estimated average annual costs for a single student who is:
- Sharing rental accommodation
- Living alone in a unit/house
- Living in an on-campus unit (non-catered)
- Living in a hostel or Home Board (catered and non-catered)
Total figures are for the 37 weeks of the academic year only. Please note that we have not included the cost of clothing or travel expenses for leisure purposes and rental leases are usually 6 or 12 months. Costs shown are in A$.

NOTES
- Hostel accommodation is limited. Most Hostels are in Albury.
- Bond – a security deposit paid by tenant, usually 4 weeks rent, refunded at end of rental period provided no money is owning, you have given the required period of notice, and no damage has been done to property. Sometimes a cleaning charge will be deducted at the end of the stay.
- On-campus accommodation is charged in advance for 20 weeks of each semester.
- Assumes costs are shared with to others.
- Transport for entertainment and work purposes
