Mann Lecture

Jonathan Mann The Mann Lecture, formerly the Jonathan Mann Lecture is an annual public lecture held on the Albury-Wodonga campus of La Trobe University. Jonathan Mann was a local pioneer and businessman who recognised the importance of the Murray. These lectures are always on the theme ‘the Murray and its people’.

Annual Hartung Youth Lecture

The Hartung Youth Lecture Series, sponsored by The Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI), is targeted at secondary students in years 10 and 11 and aim to inspire a love of and fascination with science. This year, the lecture was hosted by four separate university campuses across Victoria.

The 2011 lecture focused on chemical toys and reactions that display unusual effects and have 'fun' properties – and explored how they work and their potential and important applications.
