It offers you the flexibility to follow your passions by studying a range of subject areas, such as english, history and sociology. An arts degree can lead you to exciting careers such as an archaeologist, museum curator, librarian, community development officer, policy adviser and international development officer.

BUSINESS

Studying business can take you to some surprising places. Ever wondered how accounting helps expose criminals? Or what really influenced you to buy those skinny jeans last week? Industries ranging from sport, travel, to floristry all need business-minded people.

When you study science at a University level, you develop skills and knowledge that will allow you to contribute to some of the biggest challenges facing the world today. In this workshop you'll experience a snapshot of what a scientist can do in the laboratories and learn were a science degree can take you and what jobs it leads too.

NURSING

Explore the tools nurses use to observe and assess a patient’s condition and find out how these contribute to patients’ diagnoses and treatment. See inside our state-of-the-art nursing labs and simulation rooms.

ALLIED HEATH

Health care is one of the world’s fastest growing careers and health care professionals are in high demand. If you've ever considered being an occupational therapist, speech pathology or physiotherapist, come along to this interactive session to experience what a career is like in these allied health areas.

PARAMEDICINE

The paramedic role is changing, and paramedics of the future will be much more than emergency care providers. Learn about the shift to providing community health care and practical strategies for the prevention of illnesses. Our program provides you with a dual qualification in paramedicine and public health, so you'll have a range of exciting employment opportunities.

PSYCHOLOGY

Have you ever thought about why you do the things you do? This interactive workshop will explore the types of psychological processes that happen during a typical day. You'll leave the workshop with a better understanding of the science of psychology as it applies to the everyday, as well as a glimpse into studying psychology at university.

SOCIAL WORK

Learn more about the diverse and rewarding profession that allows you to be involved in supporting individuals, families and communities while also advocating for social justice and human rights. See what it’s like to be a ‘real’ social worker.

CAMPUS LIFE

Where can I stay and how much does it cost? Take a tour of the onsite accommodation as well as experiencing some of the ice-breaking activities that new students use to get to know each other and the facilities on campus. The tour will involve both current residential students and staff.

DIPLOMA TO DEGREE

Not sure if you'll achieve the ATAR required? A little worried about going straight to University? Come along and hear about the programs in nursing, childcare and social work that start with a Diploma at TAFE and end with a Bachelor at La Trobe University. Listen to current first year students discuss their experience with the program.

PATHWAYS

There's more than one way into University. Learn from our current Tertiary Enabling Program students and staff on the benefits of going to university before you start your degree. This program teaches you essay and assessment writing at a University level while giving you the confidence to study.
