International Programs

We have structured particular courses to suit the needs of International Students.

There are exciting short courses listed below which may be taken over two, three or four weeks. Some will run in the Australian summer in January and others will run in the Northern summer (July). They are aimed at giving you a taste of Australia’s history, culture, art, literature, film, ecology, politics, and society in a few weeks.

Most of these course are modular (thus flexible in delivery) involving lectures and excursions, and the costs have been kept to a minimum.

There is also a new semester length course beginning in 2007 which we would like all international students to consider as it forms a great introduction to all the other offerings available across disciplines in a wide range of Australian Studies.

If you are an exchange student then all of the courses listed in our Australian Studies brochure may be available to you (check for pre-requisites in the La Trobe Handbook). If you are a ‘study abroad student’ these courses listed below may add value to our short stay in Australia.
