Common Resources for Students
The Asian Studies Program offers language studies in Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese, Sanskrit and Hindi. The Program also offers a wide range of subjects from first to third year on the societies, cultures and religious traditions of Asia.
Students can enrol in Asian Studies and Asian languages at La Trobe in a number of ways:
- A Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian or Sanskrit major in the Bachelor of Arts
- An Asian Studies major (with or without a language) in the Bachelor of Arts
- A Diploma in Languages in either Chinese, Japanese or Indonesian, taken concurrently with any degree program offered by the university
- Elective subjects as part of another degree
- Double degrees are also available
