Coursework
If you already hold a Degree you may be interested in studying the Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences or the Graduate Certificate in Humanities and Social Sciences.
An Asian language sequence can be undertaken on a part-time basis as a Graduate Certificate or Diploma of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Research
The Asian Studies program offers higher degrees by research. Both MA and PhD degrees are available and you can study on a full time or part time basis.
Supervision is available in the areas of Asian religions; Chinese politics, history, education and linguistics; Japanese literature, film, linguistics and sociology; Indonesian linguistics; Indonesian and Malay literature; Sanskrit and classical Indian studies. Please see staff profiles for individual staff members’ research areas.
Many staff teaching in disciplines outside the Asian Studies Program can also supervise in Asian fields.
