My thesis looks at the most recent episode of public resistance to street prostitution in St Kilda; 1997 – 2003. In particular how Melbourne’s newspapers reported the issue, the impacts of action groups on the handling of the issue, the role of government in managing or controlling the public debate around the issue, and the major discourses. |
