Brian F McCoy - NHMRC Postdoctoral Fellow, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health

 

Project: Developing, sustaining and evaluating health programs for Aboriginal men. This project is based in the Kutjungka region of the Kimberley (WA).

I am also involved in a Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health (CRCAH) funded project: Indigenous Men: Health and Men's Sheds/Spaces. Also, one with James Cook University (Townsville): Boys to Men: Garbutt Magpies 25 Years On.

I have been an Honorary Fellow at the Centre for Health and Society (Melbourne University) since 2004. I hold an Honorary Research Fellow position with the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research (WA) in relation to the Indigenous Building Capacity Grant (ICBG), and am shortly taking up a similar position with James Cook University and its Indigenous Capacity Grant.
