Hang Kuen Chua (aka Bern) - PhD candidate |
| Background |
Despite my first degree in urban planning, I was actively involved in tertiary, informal and special need education work through my former employments. It was through my personal coming out experience that I became interested in the areas of gender, sexuality and HIV/AIDS, especially how people make sense of their sexuality and manage the stress for having alternative feelings and experiences. I was an active VCT (through PT Foundation) and suicide helpline (The Befrienders) counsellor prior to my enrolment with ARCSHS. |
