Current projects

The lived experience of AIDS dementia for shared circles of care. In this research I am exploring the lived experiences of living with AIDS dementia for those with the disease and their significant and extended others. This includes issues ad meanings regarding diagnosis, self, loss, living in relationships and insight. The work of Victor Turner on liminality informs my analysis. I draw on my own experience as the partner of a person with AIDS dementia to inform this work.

I am currently working as a consultant with the Collaboration for Health in Papua New Guinea in conjunction with ASHM. In this position I have been part of a team developing capacity building materials for the training on HIV health care teams in the faith based system. In addition to this I have been involved in the implementation of these workshops
