| Welcome to the first Association
for Qualitative Research Journal. AQR has taken the innovative step of combining a refereed journal with a magazine format. Thus it can be read like a magazine. It is not to be read by starting at the beginning and reading it to the end. Rather it is to be flicked through, delving here and delving in there, reading what interests you and leaving what doesn't. Each issue has a least one full-length major article which will refereed. The magazine style articles are very short and can be read quickly, just like a magazine. These short articles will not be refereed. So write for the next issue - a major referred paper, a pithy comment, a short article, a short book review, a quotable quote or a book summary of the contents of a recent book on qualitative research that you like. There will be two issues a year, the next issue coming out in December 2000. Send all contributions by email (not disk) to d.caulley@latrobe.edu.au so as to be suitable for reading by a Mac. Double space all manuscripts, including references, notes, abstracts, quotations and tables. The title page should include all authors' names, and affiliations; the corresponding author's address and telephone number; and a breif biographical statement. For refereed articles the title page should be followed by an abstract of 50 to 100 words. The publication style to be used is that of the American Psychological Association. |
