Install Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows
NOTE: Before commencing this installation please ensure that you have uninstalled and deleted all Sophos directories from your hard drive (please refer to the uninstall instructions).
- Once you have downloaded the Sophos Anti-Virus installation file (savw70sasfx.exe) double click it to start the installation process.

The Sophos Anti-Virus off-site installer will start. Select the destination folder where the installation files will be extracted to and click Install. Default settings are shown below.

In the Sophos Anti-Virus installation wizard dialogue box click Next

Select I accept the terms in the licence agreement and click Next.
- Select the destination folder for Sophos Anti-Virus. Click Next. The default settings are shown below.
- In the Update source dialogue box enter the following settings and click Next.
- If you are a staff member please enter http://www.latrobe.edu.au/avstaff/ESXP
- If you are a student please enter http://www.latrobe.edu.au/avstudent/ESXP
- As party of the installation process Sophos can remove third party security software that may conflict with Sophos. To remoce third party security software, ensure that the Remove third-party security software check-box is ticked and click Next to continue. The default settings are shown below.
- At the Ready to install Sophos Endpoint Security and Control dialogue box click Next to begin installing

Once setup has completed click Finish

An icon similar to the one below will be displayed in the Windows System Tray
Address:
Username : Username obtained when downloading Sophos Anti-Virus (staff or student)
Password : Password obtained when downloading Sophos Anti-Virus (staff or student)
Confirm Password : Password obtained when downloading Sophos Anti-Virus (staff or student)
