Configure Sophos Anti-Virus for Macintosh

  1. In the system status bar click the Sophos Anti-Virus icon to display a menu and choose Open Preferences.

  2. Under the Scanning tab, on the Show pop-up menu, choose Disinfection. Select Enable Disinfection and Action on infected files.

  3. From the drop down menu select Scanning Options and ensure Scan network volumes is not checked. Click Set to put the changes into effect and close the window down.

  4. In the system status bar, click the Sophos Anti-Virus icon to display a menu. Choose Open Sophos Anti-Virus. From the Sophos Anti-Virus menu select Preferences.

  5. In the Immediate Scanning Preferences dialogue box, select Disinfection and Enable Disinfection and Action on infected files.



    PLEASE NOTE: The above setting will delete file(s) that can not be repaired/disinfected by Sophos. If you do not want file(s) to be deleted choose another option from "Other actions against infected files".
