Research

The Anthropology Program ranges across a number of research interests, both theoretical and ethnographic. Most research is conducted with reference to the Asia-Pacific region (including south-east Asia, Indigenous Australia, Melanesia and Polynesia), although some research is also conducted in Ireland. Substantive research areas include childhood, religion and symbolism, narrative, race and ethnicity, development, globalisation, migration and many more.
