What is the La Trobe University Alumni?

La Trobe University Alumni is a dynamic link between La Trobe University graduates and the University. The Alumni mission is "to encourage, in partnership with the University, a lifelong relationship between La Trobe Alumni and their University".

Alumni Office staff work to deliver quality communications, services and events aimed at stimulating interest, cultivating involvement in the prosperity of La Trobe University and inspiring feelings of loyalty and pride among alumni and current students.

Who can become an Alumni Member?

Alumni Membership is FREE to any person who holds a degree, diploma, or certificate from La Trobe University, or who has completed a subject or unit of any course.

Current students, current or past staff and current or past Council members are also eligible for membership. Please email us for further details.

How do I become a La Trobe University Alumni Member?

Once you complete a degree or diploma course from La Trobe University, you will automatically become a lifetime member of the La Trobe University Alumni. Welcome! There is no annual fee. You may also complete the Online Membership Form.

What can the La Trobe University Alumni do for me?

We keep you up-to-date with, and connected to, La Trobe University wherever you live, through this website. We also offer you excellent opportunities for staying in touch with other La Trobe graduates through the Alumni e-news which is circulated on the first Monday of each month (except January).

How does Alumni support today's La Trobe students?

La Trobe Alumni is establishing enterprises and affinity programs with the aim of contributing funds to scholarships, bursaries and awards.

How can I get involved with the La Trobe University Alumni?

La Trobe University is your University, and Alumni is your voice on campus. We welcome your involvement! You can become involved with your Alumni through one of our Alumni Chapters. To speak with someone about how you can become involved, contact the Alumni Office.

How can I update my address and name details?

It is important to keep us updated of any changes to your name or address details.

Notifications of address changes can be received via email, phone, post or fax.

Notifications of name changes must be accompanied by an appropriate official document - marriage certificate, drivers licence, passport, statutory declaration or birth certificate via post or fax.

What does Alumni Membership entitle me to?

You will receive the Alumni e-news and Alumni Benefits card. Alumni membership also provides the opportunity to join Alumni Chapters.

What is an Alumni Benefits card?

You will receive an Alumni Benefits card when you become a member, entitling you to a range of benefits, services and discounts.

What benefits are associated with the Alumni Card?

A new exciting range of benefits are currently being negotiated by the Alumni Office. As details come to hand they are posted on the Benefits & Services page.

What costs are associated with the Alumni Card or Alumni membership?

There is no cost to be a member of the La Trobe University Alumni. You will be issued with your Benefits card, and will receive the Alumni e-news.

If you have changed your name, and require a card to be re-issued with your new name, please return the old card to our office.

If you require a replacement card (ie. if your card is lost or stolen), there may be a $10 replacement fee.

How often is the Agora magazine produced?

The Agora magazine has not been published since 2005.  Alumni communications are mainly conducted electronically, so please ensure that your email address is up to date with our office.

I have lost my Alumni card. How do I get another?

There may be a $10 replacement fee, which can be paid in person with cash, or via cheque or credit card.

Please provide your full name, Alumni number (if known), date of birth and contact address and phone number, along with your credit card details or cheque.

A replacement card will be issued in 4 - 6 weeks.

I need a copy of my Academic Transcript. How do I get it?

Academic transcripts are processed by the Student Centre. Requests can be made via phone, email or in person.

Note: Academic Transcripts will not be provided if a student owes money to the University. Any debts should be paid prior to or when lodging your request.
