Sustainability Panel Discussion - Kuala Lumpur
On 24 September, around 50 alumni, friends, senior staff of La Trobe University came together for this special event at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. La Trobe was honoured that The Royal Highnesses were able to take time out of their busy schedules to attend this event.
The evening started with a panel discussion on Key Sustainability Issues in Malaysia, which was moderated by La Trobe's Pro Vice-Chancellor Sustainability, Professor Carol Adams, with Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President, Professor John Rosenberg providing opening remarks.
On the panel was one of La Trobe’s most distinguished alumna Datin Paduka Professor Dr Jamilah Arrifin, President of Asia-Pacific Forum on Families who was joined by Dato’ Teo Yen Hua, Chief Executive Officer in National Water Services Commission (SPAN), Professor. Dr. Rofina Yasmin Binti Othman, Head of Malaysia’s National Biotechnology Directorate within the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and Mr Kay Luan Tay, CEO Institute of Bankers Malaysia.
Following the panel discussion, dinner was held for the guests providing the opportunity for networking and reconnecting with alumni, friends, senior staff and members of PALTUM.
