Message from the Chair
The Bendigo Chapter’s mission is to promote pride in, and commitment to, the Bendigo Campus of La Trobe University. We achieve this by providing an ongoing link between the University, the community, and former graduates and staff. We maintain contact and foster relationships with graduates and former staff by encouraging them to be involved, stay connected and celebrate their achievements. We provide La Trobe graduates and the wider Bendigo community with an annual Downtown Lecture Series, alumni undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships for students at the Bendigo Campus, and support local graduate reunions. Furthermore, this website is your link to the Bendigo Chapter and news about its activities. It provides information on our events, what is happening at the Bendigo Campus, and with our graduates.
We believe that it is important to stay connected, and that there is a mutually beneficial ongoing relationship between former students and La Trobe. Therefore, we want to know what is happening in your professional lives. We want to know if you have ideas about how we can improve the relationship between our graduates and the University; and if you have suggestions for activities, events, and programs.
Ever since the Chapter was established in 1999, it has been fortunate to have had enthusiastic, capable, hard working people on its Committee. The success that the Chapter has enjoyed since its inception is a reflection of their commitment and ability. However, if we are to continue to grow and evolve we need your support. If you do not currently receive the Bendigo Chapter Enews letter or information on the events we organise, please contact the Alumni Relations Office and we will add you to our mailing list.
Membership of the alumni chapter presents you with the opportunity to foster mutual interests with other like-minded people, and provides ongoing links with the University and its graduates; as well as providing great networking opportunities. So, go on, stay connected and be involved with your local university, and join the Bendigo Chapter of La Trobe Alumni today.
