Edward Duyker, BA (Hons) 1978 - 2004 NSW Premier's General History Prize

Edward's book 'Citizen Labillardière: A Naturalist's Life in Revolution and Exploration (1755-1834)' has just been awarded the Premier's General History Prize in the 2004 NSW Premier's History Awards.

The Awards were established by the New South Wales Government in 1997 to honour distinguished achievement in history by Australians. The awards are conducted in association with the History Council of New South Wales.

Winners of the 2004 NSW Premier's History Awards were announced by the NSW Premier and Minister for the Arts Bob Carr MP at a presentation luncheon at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on Friday 15 October. The 2004 history address was delivered by historian Jill Roe.
