Although the Division as an entity is relatively new, through its predecessor Lincoln Institute, it has had a long and distinguished history in the education of allied health professionals. La Trobe University is the only provider of tertiary education in Victoria and in Australia for a number of the health professions that are now in the Division of Allied Health.

The Division of Allied Health embraces contemporary and innovative approaches to education. It also maintains a supportive and vibrant academic research culture.  The programs we offer are consistent with our aim to provide courses of high academic standard that are attractive to students, are well taught, and are relevant to the needs of contemporary health professionals in clinical and research roles.

As well as providing courses to prepare beginning allied health professionals, we offer a rich asrray of popular post-graduate courseworsk degrees, the Professional Doctorate Program, and research training both at the Masters and Doctoral levels.
