Lincoln Centre for Research on Ageing

Professor Yvonne Wells is Head of the Lincoln Centre.  Yvonne joined Lincoln in 1994 and in 1995 she began a three-year NHMRC post-doctoral fellowship with the Lincoln Centre. Previously she was a mature age student at La Trobe University in the Department of Psychology where she completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD.  The topic of her PhD thesis was "Caring for a dementing spouse".  Before returning to study, Yvonne worked as a psychologist in the field of intellectual disability. Yvonne is also Chair of Aged Care Services Research, a position co-funded by La Trobe University and Uniting Care Victoria and Tasmania, an agency of the Uniting Church in Australia.
