Dr Taylor joined the Australian Institute for Primary Care & Ageing in November 2005 and has worked on a number of projects relating to community health and health systems development. Dr Taylor is currently Research Fellow to Professor Hal Swerissen, Dean of Health Sciences and Pro Vice Chancellor (Regional) and Professor Rhonda Nay, Director of the Australian Institute for Primary Care & Ageing. Dr Taylor’s research interests include:

Primary care system performance
- Medicare design for improved chronic disease management
- The influence of Medicare regulatory/administrative burden on general practice
- State/territory jurisdictional differences in the federal health care programs
- Socioeconomic inequalities in health care.
Dr Taylor is a registered pharmacist and is currently undertaking the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University for admission as a legal practitioner in Victoria. Dr Taylor is a former Director of Darebin Community Health Ltd and a current Associate Fellow of the Australasian College of Health Service Management.
