The
activities of the National Evaluation include:
|
1.
|
National
Evaluation Framework |
|
|
The
main focus of the National Evaluation is the development and implementation
of an Evaluation Framework, which has been developed in consultation
with consumers and stakeholders. It outlines how the LAMA Consortium
will evaluate and review the Dementia Initiative as a whole, evaluate
the three Measures under the Dementia Initiative, both individually
and collectively, and review all projects within the Measures. |
|
2.
|
Maintaining
a Stakeholder Reference Group |
|
|
A
Stakeholder Reference Group has been established to provide expert
advice and guidance in developing, implementing, analysing and reporting
on the evaluation of the Dementia Initiative. |
|
3.
|
In-depth
evaluations |
|
|
In-depth
evaluations of various Dementia Initiative projects are being undertaken.
These evaluations have been developed in consultation with consumers
and stakeholders to clarify the goals and objectives of individual
projects. This has allowed development of the evaluation around the
realities of the project rather than the project as conceived in its
original briefing. |
|
4.
|
Project
reviews |
|
|
Project
reviews involve review of key documents, comparative analysis of the
needs and project outcomes, and possible collection of specific information.
In comparison to the in-depth evaluations, project reviews are primarily
descriptive, i.e. program goals, target group, program inputs, program
activities, outputs and outcomes will be described, analysed and compared
to needs/demand and the original rationale. |
|
5.
|
Provision
of ongoing advice and guidance |
|
|
The
LAMA Consortium's project office provides ongoing advice and guidance
to Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and organisations
undertaking specific evaluations. |
Further details about
the Activities can be found in the National
Evaluation Framework.
