Kate Silburn BSc (Hons) UWA, Grad Dip Women's Health Melb., Cert Prof Writing and Editing RMIT

Kate Silburn is Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute for Primary Care. Kate has worked in research and policy development in a range of women’s health, women’s safety, consumer health issues and primary health care since 1985. She has held positions at La Trobe University, the Macfarlane Burnet Centre, Health Issues Centre, the Chronic Illness Alliance, the Department of Human Services and the Department of Victorian Communities. Kate was a member of the small team that established the National Resource Centre for Consumer Participation in Health. Kate also worked with the Victorian Primary and Community Health Network and organised their first conference held in November 2003.

Since joining AIPC in July 2002,Kate has worked on a number of projects and evaluations, including:

Evaluation of the Connecting Healthcare in Communities (CHIC) Initiative in Queensland (for Queensland Health)
