About AIPC

The Australian Institute for Primary Care is an independent dedicated research and consultancy organisation within the Faculty of Health Sciences at La Trobe University.Through research, consultancy and educational activities the AIPC promotes quality improvement and best practice in all areas of primary health and community care. It supports the integration of theory and practice in service development and delivery and promotes the standing and visibility of primary health care and community health services.

In collaboration with the School of Public Health, we provide postgraduate programs in Gerontology, Rehabilitation and Quality Assurance.

The Institute is self-funding and operates on a cost recovery business model
.



Our services are provided through the following specialist centres:

Programs and Services

The AIPC provides independent research, expert advice and practical resources to help build better health systems and services. Our work is characterised by a collaborative multidisciplinary perspective underpinned by an evidence-based approach. We take pride in providing creative ideas and thinking as well as practical and relevant outcomes.
