The Sixth ICAAP presented an innovative program centred on the overall concept of "Breaking Down Barriers". This program structure replaced the traditional disciplinary tracks with four dynamic and comprehensive themes designed to promote cross-disciplinary dialogue while combining good science, effective advocacy and community development. The full program was organised around the themes of: Treatment and Care; Prevention; Socio-economic determinants and Gender & Sexuality. The sessions within each theme were developed from submission by participants, with the aim of presenting a diverse program that looked at the relevant issues from many perspectives.

The session reports published here are based on the daily reports produced by Key Correspondent/Rapporteur (KC/Rapp) team during the conference. Not every session at Sixth ICAAP is summarised below. The KC/Rapp team was formed by bringing together the HDN Key Correspondents team and the ICAAP Rapporteur team. This union created a large experienced and dynamic team of rapporteurs. The Health Development Networks (HDN) will be producing the definitive reference volume of the proceedings. Other sources of information include the collected speakers presentations, the webcast of the conference and the ICAAP Secretariat.

Our sincere thanks go to all those who put the hardwork into making the report available... Acknowledgements
