Scholarships, prizes and awards
La Trobe provides a number of scholarships to assist students with their studies in times of financial need. There are also many awards and prizes that provide recognition of academic achievement.
The Department of Agriculture also recommends students become aware of the many scholarships offered externally by organisations and government agencies to students of agriculture.
Scholarship
Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Ten scholarships are available each year for eligible students commencing in undergraduate courses offered by the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Prizes and awards
Dean's Honour List
The Dean's Honours is awarded for recognition of outstanding academic achievement in the Faculty of Science, Technology and Engineering.
Soil Science Australia
The Frank Gibbons Award of $250, among many other benefits, is awarded to an undergraduate student who writes the winning essay on soil science.
