Scholarships
Agricultural Science Scholarships 2009
The Faculty has created five new scholarships designed to assist students to commence studies in Agricultural Science in 2009 at one of our Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo or Bundoora Campuses.
The scholarships are valued at $6,000 each, comprising $4,000 towards the cost of HECS for science subjects, and a $2,000 living allowance. Applicants must have a home postcode that is not in metropolitan Melbourne (regional postcode) and be studying full-time in first year in one of the following three degrees:
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science/Bachelor of International Development

Rural Finance Corporation scholarships
What this scholarship offers:
- Annual payment of $6000
This scholarship was introduced in 1992, and has helped a great number of students through their studies. The scholarships are open to students who are in the first or second year of their undergraduate degree, and have demonstrated a career commitment to agriculture.

Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) cadetship program
What this scholarship offers:
- Annual allowance of $9,000
- Book allowance up to $500 per year
- Practical work placements for 6 - 8 weeks of the university holidays
- A job (4 year contract) when you finish university
Agricultural Science and Agricultural Science/Business students are eligible to apply for these cadetships. One of the reasons for these generous scholarships is because of the need for many skilled graduates within Victorian agricultural industries.
