Professional and community connections
Part of La Trobe's vision is to transform students' lives through industry experiences. We encourage our industry partners to become involved in the programs we offer, as it provides access to Australia's next generation of highly-skilled agricultural scientists.
One of the initiatives we are involved in is the cadetship program, which allows students to gain practical experience in the agricultural industry. The Department is also involved in In2Science – a Peer Mentoring in Schools program that places volunteer students with classroom teachers in primary and secondary schools.
