About the ADU
The aim of the Academic Development Unit (ADU) is to improve the educational experiences of La Trobe University students. Staff of the ADU provide support and work co-operatively with members of the La Trobe University community to achieve this aim.
The activities of the ADU centre on development, advocacy and support for student focused learning within the strategic focus of the University.
The ADU provides:
- Teaching, learning and assessment advice
- Professional development and training for teaching staff
- Assistance with the development of units or courses
- Support for the evaluation or review of teaching, units or courses
- Support for institutional and individual research related to learning and teaching
- Postgraduate courses in higher education
- Collaboration on faculty learning and teaching projects
- Support for career development and applications for teaching and other awards
- Policy advice on learning and teaching matters
The ADU has a strict policy of maintaining confidentiality for all discussions with individuals and groups of staff.
