Advance Care Planning e-learning course

Welcome to our e-learning course on Advance Care Planning (ACP). This course is Part 1 of the Respecting Patient Choices (RPC) education course geared to provide a broad introduction to ACP. It covers basic definitions, legal aspects, considerations regarding end of life decision-making and communication, the actual process of holding advance care planning conversations, as well as systemic matters that underpin ACP. Part 2 is a full day workshop that focuses on communication skills giving you the opportunity to train and build your advance care planning skills in an applied setting.

Respecting Patient Choices is an ACP program that has been introduced nationally in specific health care sites across Australia. You will learn more about the RPC program as you progress through this course.

In order to make the navigation through the following modules as easy as possible, you have been sent an information leaflet as part of your RPC documentation. Please use this leaflet to familiarise yourself with the website.
