About the course

The course consists of six modules. Each module will take approximately one hour to complete. You can work at your own pace and log on and off as it suits your needs. You are required to complete each module in the prescribed sequence. It is advised that you have a break on completion of each module to allow time for you to think about what you have learnt in relation to your own practice. You may find it useful to make notes that you can bring for discussion to the workshop if you choose to proceed to the Advanced Communication skills workshop.

The Advanced Communication skills workshop will give you the opportunity to apply your theoretical advance care planning skills. The workshop will briefly review key elements of advance care planning before teaching you the essential vocabulary and communication strategies that will assist you in leading end of life decision-making discussions.

On successful completion of the course you will receive a certificate and further information about the next component of the program should you choose to continue.
