Older People Older People: Issues and Innovations in Care

ACEBAC is excited to announce the recent publication of Older People: Issues and Innovations in Care (3rd ed.), edited by Professor Rhonda Nay and Dr Sally Garratt, and published by Elsevier. This edition captures the underlying new approach in patient centred care and thinking from a multidisciplinary perspective. It highlights the most recent ideas and experiences of policy analysts, nurses, doctors, allied health professionals and the consumer experience from both Australia and internationally. TIME TIME for Dementia - Training, Innovation, Mentoring and Education for Dementia

Training, Innovation, Mentoring and Education for dementia (TIME for dementia) is the Victoria and Tasmania Dementia Training Study Centre. The Centre aims to provide flexible, multi dimensional education to allied health, medical and nursing professionals and healthcare students in Victoria and Tasmania.

acebac logo Strengthening Care Outcomes for Residents with Evidence (SCORE)

SCORE (Strengthening Care Outcomes for Residents with Evidence) is an initiative commissioned to support Victorian Health Services operating aged care homes to provide high quality care to residents. SCORE has a focus on managing some key areas of risk for residents and seeks to develop and implement evidence based standardised care processes. The Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC) is engaged to develop and implement phase one of SCORE.  Professor Rhonda Nay, Director of ACEBAC, and her team, in consultation with the department, have been working with participating Health Services. acebac logo Constructive Staff-Family Relationships in Residential Aged Care - Final Report

This report describes a three year research project undertaken by ACEBAC in association with three residential aged care facilities (RACFs) in Melbourne, Australia. The project aimed to identify and address the barriers to constructive staff-family carer relationships in residential care on the basis of a systematic review of the literature on staff-family relationships. The Supporting Families and Friends of Older People Living in Residential Aged Care consumer booklet was developed as part of the Constructive Staff-Family Relationships project conducted by ACEBAC, and is based on the systematic review Staff-Family Relationships in the Care of Older People.
