Internal Bendigo Dining Hall

We offer a unique student dining experience in the new purpose built Student Residence Centre on the Bendigo Campus.
As the catering unit for the Division of Residential Services in Bendigo, the Food for Thought team is passionate about providing the very best student dining experience possible.

Fresh fruit and vegetables, quality meats and small goods and freshly baked bread are selected and prepared by our chefs to ensure that our students are well fed and their nutritional requirements are met.
Students can enjoy their university experience without the burden of grocery shopping, preparing and cooking food or even washing dishes.  The outdoor eating/BBQ area will but used during the warmer months and for special events.
A typical evening meal would consist of two choices of main course and a vegetarian choice upon request.

Opening Hours

Breakfast and Lunch Service: Monday to Friday: 7.00 am to 1:00 pm

Dinner Service: Monday to Thursday: 5.30 pm to 7:00pm

  • Oven baked Kiev cut chicken fillet with lemon and fresh herbs
  • Roast rolled leg of pork with pan gravy and crackling
  • Beef korma with steamed rice and pappadams
  • Grilled fish with lemon butter
  • Chef made beef lasagne
  • Chicken parmagiana
  • Fettuccine Carbonara
  • Chicken stir fry with Hokkien noodles
  • Roast leg lamb with pan gravy

Side dishes

  • Roasted potatoes

Outdoor Education and Nature Tourism students will be supplied with ingredients in lieu of meals and advice for cooking whilst away on trips. Food items can be selected from stock and even prepared in the kitchen by students with guidance and assistance from our team of chefs.


Any student away on placement can arrange for meals to be set aside for collection by a fellow student and delivered to their residence.  Any reasonable request will be accommodated.
