'I registered with CIS Australia through Accommodation Services, to teach at a school called C.H.O.I.C.E., approximately an hour out of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Every morning we would take the mini bus to the school on the roads towards the village and on the way we would pass our students riding to school waving frantically in our direction. The teaching experience was one I will never forget. The students were so appreciative of the opportunity to attend school and learn English. Teaching English furthered my studies of speech pathology.'

'People from all over the world joined together to complete volunteer tasks and I lived alongside all of them. This was a great opportunity to not only meet new people and form new relationships but to learn about other places and cultures from around the world. We all shared a common interest and we were able to bond and connect with one another. I am so lucky to be able to say that I have travelled across the globe to this part of the world. It is definitely somewhere that I one day hope to visit again. I believe that this was the perfect time in my life to do something like this and I am so grateful that I was able to participate in this adventure.'
