Type	Definition
Bedsitter/studio	Single room accommodation within an apartment block usually with a kitchenette and a separate bathroom.
Board in exchange	Full or partial accommodation and/or food exchanged for duties in the household.
Full board	A furnished room within a family home, including meals, utilities and sometimes laundry and other services.
Bungalow	Free standing, self-contained accommodation usually at the rear of a house.
Room in a family home	Usually a furnished room in an established family home without meals. Rent usually includes utilities.
Room in a flat/unit/house	Room in an established property with the use of facilities, sharing with other people (often students). Usually unfurnished with shared bills.
Rooming house	Furnished room in a house of more than four individual bedrooms. Separate leases on each bedroom. Shared facilities. Utilities included in rent.
Vacant flat/unit/house	Whole vacant property. Leased as a whole. Utility bills separate. Usually unfurnished.
