Living on campus with children
Many La Trobe University employees and students combine parenting and work with educational responsibilities. This may result in situations where children need to be catered for.
The environment at Barnes Way is the ideal place for families or single parents to bring up children. There are two and three bedroom flats that face directly on to a children’s play area, allowing parents to maintain a watchful eye on their children. The Barnes Way flats are situated in private grounds with no through traffic, making it a safe and child friendly environment.
La Trobe University also provides two facilities for young pre school age children:
- Parents and Children’s Child Care Centre
- Children’s Centre
For older children, Barnes Way Flats are conveniently located within a short walk to La Trobe Secondary College.
Barnes Way is ideally situated within a precinct that provides a variety of services to the family unit making it an ideal location for families.
